We have an enviable network of leading colleagues, with whom we collaborate, which we call the ‘little black book’; developed over 27 yrs of clinical practice, to provide a genuinely multi-disciplinary, joined-upapproach. We have researched how to set up the most effective team of key specialists and deliberately don’t have them all under one roof but connect through weekly team meetings to share review and adjust patients’ programmes, particularly with complex symptom pictures (otherwise known as syndromes) .
Even this approach is fresh and different, encouraging collaboration, reciprocity, innovation and development. We further embrace that science changes at an ever increasing pace and regularly update our knowledge and adapt our protocols accordingly.
Our clinical director Nick Potter, is privileged to be invited to attend at least 3 specialist clinical multi-disciplinary meetings a week, to present patients and collaborate with colleagues.
The word has several meanings nested in it and nicely integrates everything we are doing. It embraces the vital need for definitive diagnosis and treatment for spinal and persistent pain but it also reflects how we restore your resilience to your pain in an ever more demanding world. We want to be the backbone to your health and the structured approach to your recovery.
The structure of the backbone clinic incorporates a central hospital setting at the King Edward VII hospital, with all forms of diagnostic imaging and testing available. (MRI X-ray, CT and ultrasound )
We also have a separate Chelsea based clinic where we can see children and adolescents who so often cannot get access to the right care and who have their own set of unique trials and tribulations to cope with.
